The coming weekend and next week are looking very promising for the European Alps. A significant drop in temperature and large snowfalls are expected. Some resorts in Switzerland and western Austria are expecting up to 115cm of fresh snow to fall by Tuesday next week. The sharp drop in temperatures should ensure this is fantastic quality snow and may allow many resorts to open ahead of schedule.1The long range forecast expects temperatures to remain low across the whole of the Alps, which is fantastic news!
