Weather Overview

Weather Overview Europe - Last Updated 20th November

The coming weekend and next week are looking very promising for the European Alps. A significant drop in temperature and large snowfalls are expected. Some resorts in Switzerland and western Austria are expecting up to 115cm of fresh snow to fall by Tuesday next week. The sharp drop in temperatures should ensure this is fantastic quality snow and may allow many resorts to open ahead of schedule.1The long range forecast expects temperatures to remain low across the whole of the Alps, which is fantastic news!

Weather Overview USA & Canada - Last Updated 20th November

Dry and mild weather is still dominating most of the Rocky Mountains. Daytime temperatures of above 10ºc are common and they are only just dropping below freezing at night.1The weather is set to remain like this for at least the next five days and no new snow is forecast at most of the resorts in Colorado. Timberline in the north west of America is expecting a bit more snow, with 15cm expected to fall on Thursday and Friday.1The weather over on the east coast has improved for snowsports fans! Significantly lower temperatures and fairly substantial snowfalls mean that Killington, Sunday River and Mount Snow can re-open. Stowe in Vermont is also planning to open this weekend and light snow is forecast.1In Canada snow is once again forecast across most of the resorts in Alberta and British Columbia. Temperatures are expected to remain low over the weekend but could increase slightly at the beginning of next week. Skeena heli ski area has nearly 60cm of new snow forecast before Tuesday and Whistler has 54cm forecast in the same time. The snow at Whistler will fall right down to valley level at 675m. 39cm is expected to fall on Friday on the upper slopes, which is fantastic.
